Part 1

1.- Where was the family when the movie started?

When the film started the family were on a plane

2.-  Where were they going on vacation?

They were going to Thailand

3.- Describe the summer resort where they were.

It was a new renovated resort. The hotel upgraded their villa to a villa on the cost line.

4.- What were they celebrating on the beach at night? How did they do it?

They were celebrating Christmas eve, they lit lanterns and released them into a sky.

5.- What did they do the next morning?

They opened their Christmas presents ad then they went to the beach

6.- Did they surf, dive or swim?

They went diving (snorkelling) to see the fish and the corals.

7.- What were they doing before the tsunami hit the beach?

Maria was searching for a lost page of her book and the others were near the pool. Henry, Thomas and Simon were in the pool and Lucas was looking for the ball.

8.- Where did Maria and Lucas hold on ?

They both held on a mattress and then on to a palm tree in the water.

Part 2

9.- Who did they find to help?

They found a small boy called Daniel

10.- Where did they refuge from the Tsunami?

They climbed up a tree

11.- Who helped Maria and Lucas?

The local people found Maria and Lucas and took them to hospital.

Part 3

12.- Where and how did the brothers find each other?

Tommy and Simon are in a van full of tourists who are going to a safe place up in the mountains, when Simon recognises Lucas voice as he shouts for his dad both Simon and Thomas jumped put of the van to be reunited with Lucas and he’s dad.

13.- Who helped the Bennett family return home?

The insurance company helped the get back home.

14.- Where did they travel by plane?

The plane was going to a hospital in Singapore.

Part 4

15.- Choose 2 characters from the family. Describe them and compare them.

Lucas is a 12-year-old boy who likes to listen to music; both him and his mum are very strong characters and fighters.

Maria is a doctor who isn’t working as she is looking after the 3 children. She is  also a very strong person.
